If you think your home is free from energy blocks, think again. Unless you smudge regularly and practice other cleansing techniques and rituals, there are probably areas of your home that are keeping you from moving forward in some aspect of your life. However, the quarantine may be a great time to change that.
Having to stay home as much as possible because of the COVID-19 pandemic can be emotionally exhausting, and some of us wish it was over yesterday. But lightworkers understand the importance of healing ourselves and contributing to the healing of the Universe, so we do our part to stay inside.
But that does not mean we can’t use this time to our advantage. Since we’re spending so much time at home, we may as well use our time wisely. Some of us may choose to meditate more or spend more time doing psychic exercises. Another action we can take that can jumpstart our personal power is to remove some of the energy blocks that have accumulated in our surroundings. Here is how to get started.
How to sense energy blocks
Before you can tackle your energy blocks, you have to know where they are. While some are easily identifiable, others may be more difficult to sense.
It is more difficult to note energy blockages when there’s a lot going on around you. You may have a harder time noticing energy when you are:
- Watching television or have it going on in the background
- Listening to a 24-hour news cycle about the COVID-19 pandemic
- Playing loud music
- Spending time with your eyes glued to social media
- In a room with other people or communicating with others via phone, text, email or other digital communications
So what you want to do if you’re serious about tackling your energy problems is shut everything off. Allow yourself to be in silence and to simply be still and sense what it feels like around you. If you can enjoy the silence and your surroundings, that’s a good sign. However, if you are uncomfortable without the distractions, there is likely an energy problem you need to correct.
Common sources of energy problems
When it comes to energy that’s holding you back, there are certain places where you are likely to find it:
Mixed in with your memories and mementos
Do you have a box stuffed with items that hold a lot of emotional significance for you? Maybe it includes love letters, old prom pictures, birthday cards or awards from work.
Sure these items may have meaning, but they may also take you back emotionally to a different time that keeps you from moving forward. If you rarely go through the box and it simply sits in the back of your closet collecting dust, you have to ask yourself if you’re avoiding going through it because the energy doesn’t feel good.
Anywhere there is clutter
Are there certain areas of your house that always have a lot of junk? Whether it’s a desk, a drawer or a closet, if you have a ton of items stuffed together, you can best believe energy is not getting through.
In fact, there’s a good chance that you haven’t cleaned this clutter up because you feel so tired whenever you are around it.
Another source of clutter is bags and boxes of items you haven’t used in years. I remember and packing a box of stuff I didn’t know what to do with. I never unpacked it and when it was time to move again, the box was still there. That’s when I knew I was carrying energetically unhealthy baggage.
Rooms you avoid
Homes with good energy feel good no matter what part of the house you are in. However, sometimes we subconsciously stay out of an area because it brings up painful memories, is unclean or simply does not feel good.
Think about the different parts of your house and ask yourself which rooms you go into the least. That room may have energy blocks and could be the first place you should focus on.
How to solve your energy blockages
So now that you’ve identified your problems, now is the time to fix them. You want to focus on eliminating things causing the energy blocks or distancing yourself from them.
Eliminate what you can
Try this experiment. Go through a drawer and throw out everything you haven’t used in over a year. You don’t even have to be too thorough. Items you’re not sure about you can keep, but simply toss everything you know you no longer want. How do you feel? I’m betting you feel a lot lighter.
Try this exercise in all of the spaces that you’ve identified that have blocked energy. You’ll know you’re on the right path if you feel better in the space once you do.
Distance yourself from items you must keep
Sometimes we’ll have a box full of sentimental stuff that doesn’t feel that good, yet we don’t want to get rid of it. One thing I place in this category is mementos that belonged to a loved one who has passed away. While going through the items might make me sad or tie me to an aspect of my past, I don’t want to get rid of them because in time, my grief will lift and my feelings will likely change.
In cases like this, put the items causing the energy block in a garage, a storage unit or another area of space where you don’t have to feel the physical effects of the energy.
Use metaphysical means to clear the space
