Is a bedroom mirror ruining your love life?

There is so much esoteric knowledge that we can use to our advantage. Feng Shui, a belief system that originated with the Chinese and examines how the placement of objects affects the energy in one’s environment, is just one example of such knowledge. We can look to Feng Shui to help us in ALL areas of our lives. There are steps we can take to adjust the energy of our surroundings to impact our financial standing, our careers and even our love lives.

Who doesn’t want to improve their love life? Even if one’s love life is good, there are simple steps that we can do to make it better or to prevent troubles from occurring in the future. One involves the use of mirrors in the bedroom.

There is plenty of information out there about why mirrors in the bedroom are bad, and it doesn’t all have to do with romance. Some say that having mirrors facing the bed can lead you to have restless nights and nightmares. There is a belief among some that the soul leaves the body during the night when we sleep. If there is a mirror there is a chance that the soul will see its reflection and may become startled, which could either cause a nightmare or jar you out of sleep. Others have said that a mirror in the bedroom can deplete one’s energy while they are sleeping.

But what about romance? How can a mirror in the bedroom hurt your love life? One theory is that mirrors double the energy of whatever is reflected in them. (That’s why you should never have a mirror in a location where you can see a toilet or a garbage pail or anything that signifies waste reflected in it.) If you are in a happy loving relationship and a mirror is facing your bed, the doubling of energy could result in the appearance of a third (or fourth) party in your relationship. That’s right, many believe that a mirror facing your  bed can lead to infidelity.

So what about singles? Could placing a mirror in your bedroom facing your bed double your energy and lead to a romantic partner? Feng Shui experts say it doesn’t necessarily work that way. In fact, a mirror facing the bed is believed to double the luck of whoever is in the bed. If you’ve been having bad luck in romance, you don’t want to double that same bad luck.
