As you strengthen your psychic ability, don’t be surprised if you start to notice spirits in your presence. It’s not that they weren’t there before. They probably were. However, as you become more sensitive to supernatural phenomena, you will begin to notice things that you didn’t notice in the past, such as spirits of those who have crossed over to the other side.
On the flip side, things that you overlooked or dismissed before may begin to take on different meanings. For example, in the past, you might have blamed a sudden chill in the air on a draft in the room. However, as you’ve learned more about ghostly activity, you’ve likely discovered that cold spots are often signs of a spiritual presence. In fact, when spirits are present, the temperature is known to drop. (A thermometer for ghost hunting may be worth the investment if you have a serious interest in identifying spiritual presences.)
Another way to identify spirits is to pay attention to the behavior of the small children or the pets in your life. Perhaps they are more open to supernatural phenomena because they haven’t had it drilled into their heads that logic trumps what can’t be seen. Have you ever had a pet whose eyes wandered above your head fixated on something that you couldn’t see? Or have you ever heard a child describe an imaginary friend? Many believe that in those instances, children and pets are communicating with a ghostly presence.
Sometimes you might think your eyes are playing tricks on you. You might be watching television when you think you see a shadow flittering by in the corner of your eye. When you turn to look, there’s nothing there. But is there really nothing there? If this happens once, sure, it might have been your imagination. But if it happens more than once, are you really seeing things?
The flickering of lights is another phenomena that is often associated with ghostly activity. Particularly when you know that your lightbulbs are good and there’s simply no explanation. Spirits can wreak havoc on the electromagnetic field. Again, if you notice changes in your electrical field, you might want to purchase an EMF meter — ghost hunting equipment that tracks changes in the electromagnetic field.
Whether you choose equipment to test for spiritual activity or you have medium tendencies, meaning you are sensitive to the presence of spirits, paying attention to your environment can open your mind to other worlds of activity.
