It’s a new moon and we’re reveling in this new moon energy. Remember, new moons are the perfect time to start something new whether it’s a project, a relationship or simply a new goal. I always think of new moons as a time of pure potential when anything can happen and the possibilities are endless.
I also like to mark my new moons with different rituals. One of my favorites is to create a manifestation box, which I use to symbolize my intention for the new moon cycle and track any progress made toward my goal before the next new moon.

I’m always amazed by how many synchronicities and messages I get related to my intention, and I always end up having experienced breakthroughs in those areas of my life during that particular moon cycle.
Of course the breakthroughs don’t always come in the way I would like (or expect). For example, once when I was focusing on creating more intimacy in my life I expected it to happen with my current partner. Instead we broke up. At first I thought my manifestation box had failed me but looking back on the incident months later I realized that the breakup had been necessary so that I could meet someone else who I did achieve a higher level of intimacy with.
So this work is not for the faint of heart. But you knew that already. If you’re game to try creating a new moon manifestation box, here’s the recipe. Since this new moon is in Cancer, it might make sense to focus on an intention that has Cancer-related themes, such as your home, your family, self-care and nurturing. You may also choose to focus on an intention related to the house in your natal chart that this new moon is in. For example, if the new moon falls in your seventh house, this might be a good time to focus on an intention related to love and relationships.
And you can choose an intention that has nothing to do with the sign of Cancer or any of your astrological houses. Do what feels good to your soul.
