Can Soulmates Read Each Others’ Thoughts?
If you long to meet a soulmate — someone you believe you will connect with on an extraordinary level — you are not alone. Or perhaps you have already met someone who you instinctively know on a deeper level. One quality such a relationship may have is you may be able to read one another’s thoughts or know instinctively when a soulmate is thinking of you.
It’s not uncommon for soulmates to have a telepathic connection. In fact, a telepathic connection is often a sign of soulmate recognition. In many cases, a soulmate connection can be so strong that one soulmate can easily tell what the other is thinking.
Is your soulmate thinking of you?
When you are particularly close to someone there’s the tendency for the two of you to finish one another’s thoughts.
- You may instinctively know what the other person is going to say
- You may sense when something is wrong before the other person tells you
- You may finish the other person’s sentences
- You may instinctively know when a soulmate is about to call
- You may literally feel it when a soulmate is thinking about you
Note that this doesn’t only apply to people you have a romantic relationship with or a romantic interest in. Contrary to popular belief, a soulmate connection has nothing to do with romantic love. A soulmate can be a romantic partner, but it can also be a best friend, family member or even an enemy. The most simple explanation of a soulmate is someone from the same soul group as you who you are likely to have spent multiple lifetimes with in some capacity. (Learn more about soul groups here.)
How to shut the soulmate telepathic connection
If you decide that you don’t like the fact that someone can get into your head too easily, you can also shut the telepathic connection down — even if it’s a soulmate. To do so:

- Set the intention that you will not emit your thoughts and feelings so easily.
- Visualize a bubble surrounding yourself that keeps your thoughts contained so that they don’t enter someone else’s aura.
Of course, you should realize that if you shut down your telepathic connection, you will have a more difficult time receiving the thoughts of others — your soulmate included. If you value the ability to sense what’s going on with the people you love, you might decide that you’d rather keep the telepathic connection open and just learn to deal with it.
You and a soulmate can also do the opposite and open your telepathic connection to one another. Set the intention that your thoughts and feelings will easily be received by the other party, and vice versa. Over time, you may find that the telepathic connection leads to improved communication with one another.
Using telepathy to attract a soulmate
You can also use telepathy and the power of intention to call in a soulmate. Often, people will be most interested in attracting romantic soulmates. It’s natural to want to spend your life with someone, and soulmate relationships can make the best romances.
One way to do this is to visualize yourself communicating with your soulmate even if you haven’t met him or her yet. In your head, silently tell your soulmate about your day and what moved you. If you had a bad day, share that, and if you’re celebrating something, share that too. Trust that subliminally, the intended soulmate will pick up on those thoughts even if you haven’t yet met that person (in this lifetime). You may even feel your soulmate on a soul level before you meet.
However, it’s important to note that telepathy is not necessarily a characteristic of every soulmate relationship. Every soulmate you come across won’t likely connect with you telepathically in that way.
